an Earth Day adventure with Jingle Belles

You've read this here, before, but I'm going to say it again - Jingle Belles was the first challenge I ever followed and joined (even before I started blogging!), and they're still my favorite.  There's a little note in their sidebar about contributing ideas, and during their first year, I had an original idea.  (I know, that amazes me, too!)  I received some junk mail at work enclosed in red vellum, which I saved and took home with me, thinking I could use it for something, possibly for Christmas.  On my way home, I thought it would be sweet if one of the Jingle Belles prompts included recycling/reusing/repurposing, so I sent out an email.  They liked it!  And improved on it by scheduling it for Earth Day, and it is now an annual prompt!  You may have guessed from all the exclamation points, that it makes me all giddy inside.  So enough blathering, here's what I did this year:
stamp set - Holly Jolly Greetings; ink - Versamark; Stampin' emboss powder - Gold; card stock - Whisper White thick

It may look a bit familiar - I used the gift wrap tissue background for a Jingle Belles prompt last year.  I used the same method of attaching it; ironing it on with plastic wrap between the tissue and the card base. This year I added the snowflake medallion, which I cut from a Christmas card.  It was from a business, and I received it at work. I saved it and took it home with me, thinking I could use it for something.  (It may be a recurring theme).

Because combining challenges is something I "do" when making cards, I'd like to link this one at Use Your Stuff, where they'd like us to use tissue paper, at Christmas Card Challenges where anything goes this week, and at Addicted to Stamps and More!, where it's Holiday week.  These are all fun challenges, and you can play along at all of them, but please be sure to link up at Jingle Belles!  Well, after first admiring Lauren's and Stef's fabulous cards!
