sketch challenge adventures

I wanted to get some cards made with the Snow Place/Snow Friends bundle I "had to have", but my motivation/inspiration has ebbed a bit lately. When that happens to me, sketch challenges usually help, so I went to work with Susan's Watercooler Wednesday sketch:
stamp set - Snow Place; ink - Versamark, Pool Party, Real Red; Stampin' Write markers - Real Red, Mossy Meadow, Delightful Dijon; card stock - Whisper White, Mint Macaron, Real Red; designer series paper - Home For Christmas

That did get me started, but not so much with the stamp set as with the designer series paper. I may have mentioned how much I ♥love♥ this paper!  I remembered the SU-per Challenges sketch looked like it "needed" designer series paper, so I shifted my focus:

stamp set - Versatile Christmas; Cozy Christmas (on envelope); ink - Real Red, Pacific Point (on envelope); card stock - Real Red; designer series paper - Home For Christmas; punch - 1-3/4" Scalloped Circle

And there was the Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch, another one perfect for snippets of designer series paper:
stamp set - Cozy Christmas (on envelope); ink - Real Red (on envelope); card stock - Gold Foil, Real Red; designer series paper - Home For Christmas; Big Shot with Christmas Greetings thinlits

This one may have made me a bit happier than normal as it hit several other challenge themes. There's no stamping for week 2 at Shopping Our Stash, my favorite holiday colors for SUO Challenges - my favorites are also traditional (to me) - multi-color with a lot of red and green, so it qualifies at Little Red Wagon.  Besides all of that, the traditional Christmas themes are just right for Vintage Stamping Challenges, a challenge I just found today.

Hi Kathe, what a happy couple of snow people! They fit into Susan's sketch beautifully. Stamping the background with the Merry Christmas! using Versamark is such a great idea. Love it! Thanks so much for sharing your fun card with us for this week's Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.

So glad you have found our Vintage Stamping Challenge blog but sadly on this occasion your "no stamping" cards do not follow our rules. We are a stamping Challenge and the main element must be hand stamped (no digis).
