pool party adventure

Sometimes when I first see the new Stampin' Up!® In Colors each year, I don't ♥love♥ them; it takes me some time and "practice" before I do.  Other times, it's ♥LOVE♥ at first sight - that's how Pool Party affected me.  So when I noticed yesterday that I had some Pool Party card bases cut and scored, I got right to work.  First I made this card, based on a pin that I saw.  As frequently happens, the original pinner used a page in the blogger's archives instead of the specific post, so it took me a LOT of searching to find this for you, dear reader, but you're worth it.  And this is what I did with it:
stamp set- Petite Pairs; ink - Pool Party; Stampin' Write Marker - Pool Party; card stock - Pool Party, Whisper White; punch - Large Oval; Big Shot with Framed Tulips, Flower Garden, and Lacy Brocade embossing folders; Pool Party 3/8" ruffled ribbon

Isn't it gorgeous in Pool Party?  Not that it wasn't great in Soft Suede; in fact, I'm pretty sure it would work in any color!  Since I was so happy using Pool Party, I decided to put it to use for Jingle Belles' Dashing Through the Snow theme, too:
stamp set - Snow Much Fun; ink - Island Indigo; Stampin' Write Marker - Pool Party; card stock - Island Indigo, Pool Party, Silver Glimmer; punches- 1-3/8" circle, 1-3/4" scallop circle; Big Shot with Perfect Pennants die, Adorning Accents and Large Scallop Edgelits; Dazzling Details, Stampin' Dimensionals

I used this week's Freshly Made sketch to pull it together, and I can't think of one thing I'd change.  Well, other than  getting the sentiment straight, but I was trying to be reasonable.  ;)
