color me beautiful adventure

Isn't this stunning?  It's the color challenge the team at Color Me Beautiful offered this week.  Just this morning I heard that when my employer hosts the Chamber of Commerce networking evening next month we have cannoli on the menu.  I've just now learned that cannoli are Sicilian (the southern island) and Tuscany is north of Rome, so lumping them together in my mind as being Italian is similar to mentally lumping together a photo of Minnesota's Split Rock Lighthouse and grits as being American.  Nonetheless, they are both Italian, and they both make me happy.  The card I made for this challenge makes me happy, too:
stamp set - Perfectly Penned; ink - Cajun Craze; card stock - Basic Gray, Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Naturals Ivory, Perfect Plum; punch - 1" circle; Big Shot with Chevron textured embossing folder; Antique Brads

I've also used Clean & Simple Fall to Layout #208 and almost forgot to give credit there!  It seemed like the easiest way to showcase these colors.  My first thought was to create a sunset using sponges or my brayer, but I knew my work wouldn't compare favorably against that photo ;)

Incidentally, the colors as listed at Color Me Beautiful don't include the center swatch on the Design Seeds photo.  I "pinned" the photo for future reference and listed it as Going Gray (a retired Stampin' Up!® color), but now I'm thinking it may be Sahara Sand.  In fact, I think Sahara Sand may have worked as the base color instead of the Naturals Ivory - I do love the Naturals card stocks, though.  What do you think?

I think it's perfect as it, Kathe! The earth toned colors are a perfect match with the Naturals Ivory.
