Wednesday work in progress adventure

 As I loaded my YouTube Watch Later list this morning, I noticed that two of the videos are titled #WorkInProgressWednesday.  I expected them to be related, but they're not.  I have a personal "rule" that if two unrelated people tell me to do something, that's my sign that I'm really supposed to do it.  Last week I spent some time with a friend (masked, and mostly six feet apart).  One of the things we discussed is having too much pretty paper, and as we made plans for another visit, she said, "We'll have some of that paper used up and can share our projects."  Lisa My Eclectic Life challenged us at the end of July to #UseThatPreciousStuff over the next few months.  That just happens to be what's on my work table this week:

 This is what's left of the first designer series paper "stack" (48 pieces of double-sided paper!) I bought, Sweet Pea (2010 Occasions mini catalog).  Some of it is "precious", including the last three sheets of Taken with Teal card stock it coordinates with.  Some of it (notice all the pink?) qualifies more for #NoPaperLeftBehind (started by Daniella Hayes)  because I don't like it and found it harder to use.  Both are being made into cards - here are some of the first ones, using the bigger pieces of paper:

So I'm keeping up pretty well with #createveryday2020 and #keeponmaking this week.  There are three more cards in progress at the end of the work table, but just now it's cat-lap time.  Unlike people telling me to do something, it only takes one cat!

Safer at Home Adventures

Have you missed me, or not even noticed that I haven't been here in eight months?  I don't know how that happened!  After spending a week with our daughter, I came home in the middle of March (my husband and daughter were both worried that I would be unable to get home), and I've been here, and fine, ever since.  

I logged in tonight to add the link at the right for the new August-December mini catalog.  We used to call it the Holidays catalog, and it is still full of goodness for the fall and winter holidays.  While I was checking the link, I read the date on the most recent post - January!

While I was MIA, for my sixth year, I did "art" on index cards each of the 61 days in June and July for #dyicad2020 - they were all posted on my Instagram account:

This month and September I'll be doing some sewing - the numbered copy paper pages under the ICAD title card are the pattern pages for my first project.  I'm using a bed sheet in a size we no longer use to make super-comfortable super-lightweight pants that I can wear while working in the beehives.  Last month, I captured a swarm for my first time, completely on my own!

I've done some art journaling, which I've posted on Facebook in the group that inspired me.  Also on Facebook, I participated in the Paper Clip Art #12PaperClipsfor2020 swap for the first six months.  These are the clips I mailed to my swap partner:

I made some greeting cards, too, but I wasn't participating in challenges; that's probably why there have been no blog posts.  

And, as usual, I've spent lots of time watching YouTube videos!  While our daughter and grandson were visiting us in February, my grandson decided we should make some YouTube videos of our own, so my little channel now has 3 videos.  I've been waffling about using the channel for video responses to YouTube challenges, but if I can't keep up here, how would I keep up there, you know what I mean?

more Christmas inspiration adventures

Yes, I am still struggling a bit with my inspiration for card making, it's so thoughtful of you to ask ;-) Last year Stampin' Up! provided a sample and instructions for a card.  I saved it but didn't get around to making it.  I found it in my "try this sometime" stack and updated the stamp sets and ribbon:

stamp sets - Beautiful Blizzard, Merry Christmas to All; ink - Real Red, Smoky Slate; card stock - Lemon Lime Twist, Real Red, Smoky Slate, Whisper White; ribbon - black 3/8" glittered organdy; basic clear rhinestones

I think it works for the prompt to Just Add a Big Bold Sentiment at Just Add Ink, don't you?

It looks like I was dreaming of a green Christmas!  These are 236 through 240 of #365cards2018 for #365somethings2018.  I seem to be three months behind schedule, as today is 324/365.  I guess that could have been expected after we spent nearly two months traveling.  Even if I don't catch up, it was worth trying.
