pink Christmas blitz adventure

It's been so very long since I posted here, that I almost forgot how to do it!  Evidently, I cannot do ALL the things, even though I'm retired.  But I am still trying to keep up with reading my favorite blogs, and I didn't want to miss my second most favorite Jingle Belles tradition after I missed my most favorite earlier this year.

Jingle Belles always devote the first theme of each October to making pink cards as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and for each card that gets linked up, Stephanie and Lauren each donate two dollars to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation

I watch a lot of YouTube videos, and when DawnH Creates did pink for Christmas in July, I had to enter her giveaway - as I told her, I try to make pink Christmas each October, but pink is very hard for me.  Then, I won!  She sent the 6x6 pad of Recollections Sugarblush paper which appears in each of these cards (as well as a LOT of extra crafty goodies!).
I eased into the pink by cutting one of the papers to fit the card front and adding some retired Stampin' Up!®  Vanilla/Gold baker's twine and a fabric covered wood dove from a package of mixed Christmas embellishments I purchased from another crafter.  I stamped the envelope with Peaceful Season (hostess, retired) in Pink Pirouette (retired).
I've had this embossed silver metallic card stock bell with the window for so long, I have no idea where it came from, but I think it works pretty well with the printed vellum sentiment I found in the same Christmas crafting box o' bits.  And the pink evergreen (isn't that an oxymoron?) paper supports them pretty well, too.  The card base is Thick Whisper White.
Some retired Stampin' Up!® ribbon sets off that adorable snow globe reindeer embellishment which is the front of a folded tag.  I'm fairly certain it was included in a package of winnings I received from Stef and Lauren in one of the early years (possibly the very first?) of Jingle Belles.  The card base is one of the 2019-2021 In Colors, Rococo Rose.

This card almost didn't exist.  In spite of my aversion to pink, I found this piece of paper too stunning to cut.  Fortunately I was reminded by another YouTube creator of Rachel Tessman's Scenery Z-fold which was specifically designed to showcase most of one 6x6 paper.  The Christmas embellishments purchase I mentioned earlier included the wooden wreath Joy; I coated it with Celestial Copper Delicata ink to help it stand out, then stamped a sentiment from Nature Sings (retired) using Rococo Rose ink on a piece of Blushing Bride card stock.  The card base here is again Rococo Rose.

I may have slightly overdone pink Christmas this year, but the Sugarblush papers did make it pretty easy.  I see a few more cards in there, but don't know if I'll have time to get them done before Wednesday.
