adventures with things Santa brought

This week the Jingle Belles are asking us to gather up the new crafting goodies we received for the holidays and use them on our holiday cards.  I started out with the Christmas-themed set I *needed* because it would work for non-Christmas sets.  In fact, I used it for the first time, earlier this month, for a birthday card.  I had one more pre-cut Card Buffet kit, and switched color and shape for the focal point:
stamp set - Nature Sings; ink - Mossy Meadow, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake; card stock - Very Vanilla, Mossy Meadow, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake; Big Shot with Subtle dynamic embossing folder

It took me two days to finish it; not because I had problems, I'm just easily distracted.  Between starting and finishing, my winnings from the Jingle Belles arrived - that's just like things Santa brought (even a month later)!  Everything is so cute, I had to play with it immediately - look at those little bitty candy cane die cuts:
ink - Poppy Parade; card stock - Pool Party, Very Vanilla; Sizzix Scallop Circles 2 Bigz die; stamps, scroll and candy cane dies from Hero Arts - Christmas List; paper stack from pebbles - Home For Christmas

I haven't even opened the Santa stamps or the stickers or twine yet, but you can expect them all to make an appearance later this year.  Thanks, again, Lauren and Stef!

Love that you immediately played with your goodies. You could turn those candy canes upside down and you'd have striped stockings like the background of your card ... so glad you shared your new stuff with us at Jingle Belles.
