adventures with Santa hats

I love elephants - they are protective, principled, intelligent, and generally awesome - and I have a cement one standing at the curve of my driveway, as well as many small figurines inside the house.  I've had the cement one for many years, and some years I put a Santa hat on her.  I wanted to do that this year, but it's been particularly windy, so I spent some time thinking about how to keep it on.  In my imagination, I could see it wobbling in the wind, and suddenly my imagination went off on a tangent and I had combined this card I had pinned, the Santa Hat challenge from Merry Monday, and the Move It challenge from Shopping Our Stash:

I don't know how to capture the wobble in a photograph, but the hat is on a small coil I fashioned from some floral wire I had in my jewelry-making stash.  It doesn't wobble a lot, I think it would work better on a larger element, but I like it anyway.

I borrowed some small sandbags from my husband and the cement elephant's Santa hat was still in place, as of this morning.  I'd go out and get a photo for you, but I'm fighting off a cold/sinus infection/mild case of the flu or something, so I'm pretty inclined to stay warm, inside.
