making Monday merry adventure

I may be exaggerating, but I think it's been raining and gloomy here forever.  Well, at least for days...  I had trouble keeping my simple commitment to 4 days of 30 minutes exercise last week.  It's really simple, I only expect to walk - but who wants to walk in the rain?  Not even the dog gets excited about that.  This morning was dry and I thought I saw a hint of sunshine, so we piled into the car for errands and the possibility of a walk.  It was raining again before we were halfway through the errands.  <sigh>

On the way home I realized my depression level is creeping up, something I've learned over the years to pay attention to, so I will increase my Vitamin D intake, try to remember to find and use the light box, and concentrate on my exercise commitment.  Also, it's always good to do something I enjoy, such as making cards - especially Christmas cards!  The Watercooler Challenge which ends later today is all about Christmas, and TGIF Challenges called for the eclipse technique, so I tried a simple one:
card stock - Real Red, Whisper White regular and thick; designer series paper - Christmas Around the World; Big Shot with Large Letters framelits

I'm feeling better already, at least enough to go for that walk before browsing through some more challenges.

What a pretty eclipse card, Kathe. The Designer Paper really lends itself well to this technique. What better wish than joy for Christmas? Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.

Good for you for recognizing you need to do something fun! This card is joyful with the little pink stars. Love that technique - have yet to try it myself. Thanks for joining us at Watercooler Wednesday. Hope you get a break from the rain!
