adventures with stash paper

I've been using older designer series paper to make my own planner pages this year, since I signed up for the Documented Life Project™ 2016 at Art to the 5th Academy.  For October I decided on Sweater Weather, but I printed the month of September!  Since I had delved nearly to the bottom of the drawer to find the paper, I didn't want to put it away without CASEing some older Pinterest finds, and I certainly needed to use the reverse side of the design I printed incorrectly.  It's a great masculine color scheme, so it will fit in at the Watercooler, where anything goes this week:
stamp sets - The Wilderness Awaits, Sunshine Sayings, Thoughtful Banners; ink - Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango; card stock - Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango; designer series paper - Sweater Weather (retired); punch - Duet Banner; Big Shot with Lots of Labels framelits

Only the designer series paper is retired, everything else I used is currently available.  This would look just as good (maybe better) on one of this year's designs, which are buy three, get one free the whole month of October!

  1. Great card, Kathe! I love that you've used colours in the background and base as well as the banner but have left the elk black and white. Very effective! You're right, this could work as well with any of the more masculine Designer Papers. It's the layout that makes this pop! Thanks so much for sharing and joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.

  4. Great layout and colour combination for this masculine card, Kathe! I really like this Wilderness Awaits stamp set, and keeping it clean really lets it stand by itself. Thanks for playing along with our masculine challenge for Watercooler Wednesday. ~Deborah

  5. Kathe, your design is not only masculine, but also very cozy-feeling with the DSP from Sweater Weather. Love the pops of colour, too, with the yellow and orange. Thanks for joining us at Watercooler Wednesday!
