When I was younger, a wasted weekend would have been the result of too much alcohol and/or fun in the sun, but no longer. It was a 3-day weekend - besides the household chores, I also wanted to finish bottling the honey we harvested last month, open the beehives to see whether they needed empty frames for filling, shop at the Tekonsha (yes, the whole village) yard sales, and make cards for
Watercooler Wednesday and
Jingle Belles (and maybe some more, because that's what I do). Saturday was a beautiful day for the garage sales and I got my household chores done Sunday, but, I woke up this morning coughing (in addition to the sneezing I've been doing for a week), and I'm achy and incredibly tired, so the bees will be going about their business unsupervised, and I only got one card done:
stamp set - Christmas Pines; ink - Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Emerald Envy; card stock - Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Emerald Envy, Garden Green; Big Shot with Holly embossing folder, Layered Circles framelits, Pretty Pines and Birds & Blooms thinlits and Finishing Touch edgelits
I'm pretty pleased with the card, which was inspired by and CASEd from one I found
on Pinterest, but next time I'll try to remember - fun before chores, save the housework for Monday!
Love the music as a background for your sweet little birdie ... hope you feel better soon ... so glad you got musical with us at jingle belles.
