beachy clean adventure

In my experience, the beach is never clean.  Not that it doesn't look clean and simply beautiful, but the sand gets on everything I take there and then it all comes home with me - not clean.  Nonetheless, LeAnne's Clean-and-Simple challenge theme at the Paper Players this week is the beach, based on Nance's sweet photo:

I know there are many ways to interpret it, but the idea of a literal interpretation has been stuck in my brain for days, so this is what I made:
stamp set - A Dozen Thoughts; ink - Sahara Sand, Soft Sky, Marina Mist, Whisper White Craft; card stock - Sahara Sand, Soft Sky, Marina Mist, Vellum; tools - stampin' sponge, sponge dauber, Stamp-a-Majig

It was fun figuring out how to make it work; if I had a stamp of two people holding hands, they'd be on there too!  Maybe it needs teeny tiny birds in the sky?  I'm pretty sure I still have the retired Up, Up, and Away set...
