enjoy the adventure

I used a Stampin' Royalty color challenge for a Tuesday Morning Sketch and had a blog-post naming mini meltdown trying to decide what kind of an adventure it was, but here's my card:
stamp sets - I Love Lace, Lifes' Adventure (hostess); ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Versamark; Stampin' Write markers - Rich Razzleberry, Pacific Point, Smoky Slate; card stock - Whisper White, Pacific Point, Smoky Slate; designer series paper - Moonlight; punch - Dotted Scallop Ribbon

The staff of the department where I work gave this card to a coworker in another department who accepted a job offer nearer her home, in the Upper Peninsula.  The sentiment is exactly right for that situation, I think.

I try to order stamp sets I think will get a lot of use, but this one didn't seem likely to meet that criteria.  Nonetheless, it was on my first list of "must have" sets when the catalog was new, last year.  You may have noticed that I'm somewhat attached to the "adventure" theme.  Ever since I can remember, I've enjoyed trying new things.  I really love adventures of all magnitude, from the small everyday to the once-in-a-lifetime, whether mundane or offbeat.  I also really love bicycling, and this is similar to the bike I had as a teen.  I'm sure you can understand why this stamp was a necessary addition to my overly-large collection, no matter what my husband thinks {grin}.
