wrapping up Christmas adventure

If you know me at all, you know I never really wrap up Christmas - the music and ornaments are easily accessible all year, there's usually more than one project in progress on any day of the year, and like any Jingle Belles fan, I make Christmas cards all year long.  The first prompt of 2015 is No Time Like the Presents - make a card featuring wrapping paper or gift tags - and that's the type of "wrapping up" I meant.  One of the gifts I received this year included this fabulous tissue paper.  I thought about using glue, but just last week I watched a video about ironing paper dinner napkins onto card stock using plastic wrap, and I thought that technique would probably work; it did, and it was super easy!
stamp sets - Christmas Bliss, Christmas Punch (retired, on envelope); ink - Versamark, Encore Silver (on envelope); Stampin' Emboss powder - Silver; card stock - Brushed Gold, Brushed Silver, Shimmery White; Big Shot with Deco Labels framelits

Jingle Belles is the only challenge I've had time to look at since I got my crafting supplies unpacked and organized, but I know Pixie's Snippets Playground is always open, and the Brushed Gold Deco Label shape came from my scrap tray, so I'll link up there, too.  Hope you all have a sweet and prosperous year!

Oh this is lovely Kathe! That's a clever technique you used - the odd thing is that our plastic film over here in the UK doesn't work properly. I expect there's slightly different properties in the film :(

Happy New Year and good to see you back - it's been a while!

Hugs

What a fun technique for tissue paper ... and fabulous holiday card design ... we're so glad we were your first creative stop as you're unpacking ... can't wait to share another year of holiday cardmaking with you.

Very pretty! It reminds me of the "Silver and Gold" song from Rudolph. I love that technique (ironing with plastic wrap to fuse papers), too! Well done!
