At the end of June we had a whirlwind vacation week with our daughter, son-in-law and grandson, during which we moved from one temporary location to another, attended my nephew's wedding, celebrated my birthday, moved more stuff, attended a memorial service for a friend, and celebrated our grandson's birthday. After a four-day weekend to visit Tom's brother and sister-in-law, I went back to work, where quarter-end reporting consumed the entire short week. We then spent the following three-day weekend moving more stuff and attempting to "settle in", with a break to watch fireworks. This is Tuesday, right? And, it's July, now - whooh!
I found a little time here and there, so my Index Card A Day adventure is on time (and under budget), but I'm behind a bit on card challenges and general blog-reading.
When I saw the birds challenge at
Just Us Girls, and specifically Rebekka Reed's Guest Designer card, it sent my brain directly to the
Hand Stamped Sentiments logo and color challenge, which in turn led me to the sketch from
Watercooler Challenges. I can't believe I'm the only one that happened to, but this card *had* to be made:
stamp set - Sassy Salutions; ink - Tangelo Twist; card stock - Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Tangelo Twist, Smoky Slate, Whisper White; designer series paper - Moonlight; punches - Owl Builder, Curly Label, Decorative Label
Since my card supply box is in seriously short of birthday cards, and this one seemed too bright & cheerful to be anything else, I'll also link up at
Seize the Birthday.

Oh, Kathe! I LOVE your card but then I'm partial to owls. What a cute trio you've put together, all in their different coats! I am definitely going to be CASEing this one. Love it!
Love your happy little owls! Thanks for joining us at Just Us Girls!

Very cute! Those bright and colorful owls are sure to make anyone smile! Thanks for playing along with us at HSS!
Love this variation on the Watercooler Challenge Sketch Kathe! Very cool that you brought out the owls (I love that punch and need to use it more), the bright colors and managed to make it work for so many different challenges. Looks like you are a genius at cramming fun and more into life and all your endeavors. Now that's the way to be a pack rat or wise old owl!
