CASEd trees adventures

52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown has requested tree theme cards this week.  That's very convenient for me, as there were two tree cards I've been wanting to CASE (Copy and Share Everything).

The first was Bonnie Klass's Peace card.  I didn't think I could sponge around the tree without masking it (and didn't want to cut all those little branches), so I stamped it on colored card stock and sponged the white edges in a reverse of her method:
stamp sets - Gorgeous Grunge, Lovely as a Tree, More Merry Messages; ink - Old Olive, White Craft; Stampin' Write markers - Old Olive, Chocolate Chip; card stock - Marina Mist, Soft Sky, Whisper White; punch - Full Heart; Big Shot with Labels Collection framelit; stampin' sponge

The other card I had been wanting to recreate was Georgann Manning's Forest Snowfall, because it was so pretty, which was the 365 Cards Word Wednesday trigger earlier this month.  I don't always recognize the difference between vintage style and shabby chic; is there a difference?  I declared this to be vintage, so it would qualify at Jingle Belles, but then I went out for dinner and forgot to get it linked up in time (oops):
stamp set - Delightful Dozen; ink - Baked Brown Sugar; card stock - Baked Brown Sugar, Pistachio Pudding, Naturals White; designer series paper - Pool Party, Pink Pirouette (retired patterns); Big Shot with Fancy Fans andFramed Tulips embossing folders and Snowflakes #2 sizzlits (retired); Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets, Dazzling Details, Stampin' Dimensionals, glue dots, stampin' sponges

Two terrific cards here! The solitary tree image is classic and I like the snowy feel you gave it with the white sponging. The embossed trees on the second card are fantastic. Thanks so much for sharing your work with us at 52{C}CT! I hope you'll join us again soon.
