an obsession adventure

It was only a temporary obsession - it started when the Jingle Belles asked for vintage and Lauren offered scanned sheet music from her collection.  I kind of have a minor obsession with music, anyway, and Christmas Card Challenges was also looking for music.  By now you probably know about my newest obsession, seeing how many challenges I can incorporate into one card, so I thought I might be able to combine the sketch at Pile It On and the colors at Merry Monday with some vintage music.  I couldn't figure out how to print Lauren's music without making it all blurry, but I found a collection on Flickr that worked for me:
stamp sets - Christmas Collectibles, Netting (retired); ink - Versamark; Stampin' emboss powder - Gold; card stock - Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red (retired), Very Vanilla; punches - Christmas Ornament, 1-1/4" circle; Smooch Spritz - Vanilla Shimmer, Gold Glow; 5/8" Victoria crochet trim; 5/8" grosgrain ribbon - Chocolate Chip (retired); Large Pearl Basic Jewels, white Tea Lace paper doilies

Vintage is not my usual style and I struggle with it, but this card was fun to make, and I like it in spite of knowing that it will be difficult to mail. I had a rather busy week and unfortunately missed the link-up deadlines at Pile It On and Christmas Card Challenges, but I think I'm (just barely) in time for Merry Monday, and there are a few days left at Jingle Belles, too - maybe you'd like to play along?

Hi Kathe,
Love this card, the ornament placed over the rosette is pretty and I love that you used music notes on your paper. I think you did vintage beautifully! So happy you could play along with us at the Merry Monday Christmas Card Club!
Have a great week,
