a very retro Christmas adventure

The Dynamic Duo challenge this week is the bright combination of Old Olive and Pacific Point.  Having been in Christmas card mode lately, I was reminded of those artificial trees that came in bright monochromes - a lot of them were metallic, remember?  So this is what I came up with:
stamp set - More Merry Messages; ink - Pacific Point; card stock - Old Olive, Pacific Point; designer series paper - Blueberry Crisp (retired); 1/8" stitched grosgrain ribbon - Whisper White; Big Shot with Argyle embossing folder and Holiday Collection framelits (retired)
I remember those trees the first time, from the 60's, so I thought the bubbly shaped Season's Greetings was perfectly suited, as I also remember those shapes and salutations from the same period.
The Stampin' Connection Watercooler, where I met my Llama friends, is hosting a blog hop Thursday - I hope you can join us - we'll be showcasing Holiday projects, and I promise not to include one retired item!
I made a fall-themed wedding card last month for a young couple we know, which I entered at the new challenge blog, Catherine & Cathy Create, and they chose it as  an August Top Pick!  I'm so excited!

Thanks, ladies!

I don't think the newlyweds will mind my sharing this photo I took at their reception - their cake stand was so awesome:
