anything goes Christmas adventure

I had some time to look at some of the challenge blogs I enjoy this week, and it seems like Anything Goes was a popular theme - at Merry Monday, again at Pile It On, and once more at Addicted to Stamps and More.  Since I saw it first at Merry Monday, of course it was going to be a Christmas card, and since I was going to pile on challenges, I checked out all my favorites.  Jingle Belles suggested the theme (Sleigh Belles Ring), Dynamic Duos conveniently requested Garden Green and Pear Pizzazz, and Shopping Our Stash wants to see our oldest punch.  I'm not sure whether the Scalloped Border is my oldest punch (there have been so many since then!), but it's one of the oldest, anyway.  I used it on a strip of glimmer paper so Addicted CAS could see some glitter, I drew some faux stitching for 52 {Christmas Card} Throwdown and pulled it all together in a sketch from unscripted sketches:
stamp sets - Joyous Celebrations (retired), Open Sleigh (retired); ink - Versamark; Stampin' Emboss powder - Black; Stampin' Write marker - Basic Black; card stock - Champagne Glimmer, Garden Green, Pear Pizzazz; designer series paper - Twitterpated (retired); punch - Scallop Border

And now that we're all in a Christmas mood, let me remind you that the Stampin' Up!® Holiday catalog goes live tomorrow!  There are so many wonderful new ideas and products, I don't know how we can choose!

I've often noticed that with some of the various shapes dies similar to the ones you've used for your image panel, there seems to be a lot of difference between the sizes of the dies. Your use of the faux stitching is an excellent way to make that wide border seem smaller. Good job! :)
Thanks for sharing your card with us at 52{C}CT! I hope you'll join us again soon.
