seize the adventure

My wonderful husband took me to Chicago last week for a special, "end-of-year-end-reports" adventure.  We saw a blues band at Buddy Guy's Legends, the Picasso exhibit at the Art Institute, the Broadway musical Book of Mormon, and Mozart performed by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (in that order).  Plus, we met a friend who works in the city for lunch (Hi, Kathy!)  WOW - fabulous adventure!  But I've really always felt that every day is an adventure - if I can bear to cover up the pages in my This & That notebook with enough stuff to give it a title, it might be Seize the Adventure.

Meanwhile, home again during the weekend, I played along at Seize the Birthday with the masculine theme this week and this sketch:

What a great sketch, full of possibilities!  This is what I did with it:

stamp sets - Clockworks, From My Heart; ink - Bravo Burgundy, Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake; card stock - Bravo Burgundy, Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake; punches - Owl Builder, 3/4" circle, 1"circle; accessories - 1/8" mini brads, Stampin' Dimensionals

I needed my 1/2" circle punch but couldn't find it - I don't know whether I loaned it to someone, or just put it somewhere strange.  It's sort of small, could be I'm just overlooking it.  Remember, I finally noticed that the From My Heart set has inside/outside sentiments?  The "inside" sentiment worked perfectly with the sketch, so I put the large, ornate "outside" sentiment (you can see it on the first card in this post) on the inside this time, because "...enjoy the passing of time" just seemed perfect!
