one-layer adventure

As soon as I received my Large Delicate Doilies sizzlit I cut the shapes to see how they looked; they've been sitting at the side of my craft table for a few days.  When I saw the Make My Monday prompt for CAS one layer, I thought I might sponge over and around them.  Then I remembered that the Jingle Belles are still BLINGing, so I decided to use Silver Foil Smooch Spritz® instead of color.  As it turned out, it didn't seem like a Christmas-sy card  (maybe if I'd used Cherry Cobbler or Night of Navy) but there's room for a sympathy card in my stash:
stamp set - So Sorry; ink - Versamark; Stampin' Emboss powder - Pewter; Smooch Spritz® - Silver Foil; card stock - Basic Black; punch - 1-3/4" circle; Big Shot with Large Delicate Doilies sizzlet; 2-way glue pen

If you're wondering, I used the circle punch to remove the center of the largest doily so the smallest one would nest inside.  I put 2-way glue on the doilies and let it dry so they would stay in place while I "spritzed" them and still be easily removable.

I haven't finished the inside - I'll add a piece of Whisper White card stock stamped with Basic Black - because the great thing about the So Sorry stamp set is the variety of inner sentiments.  I can finish it with "for your loss" or with "for the loss of your beloved pet" as needed.  This particular card is a little too somber for some of the other sentiments, such as "you've been ill" or "i was thoughtless".  I will admit, the one I'll probably use the most will be "this is late."
