experimental adventure

I was playing with my Aqua Painter again, and reinkers in colors inspired by Color Throwdown, for Daisy Yellow's Daily Paper Prompt #3.  I dripped the colors with water onto watercolor paper I had already sprayed with water. After it dried, I mounted it on a Crumb Cake base, then set some weight on it while I worked on a card for Thursday's upcoming llama hop.  I cut a label shape for that card one size too large; when I re-cut the smaller size from the center, I was left with a little ring/frame.

When I returned to the watercolor drip background, I wasn't sure what to do with it.  I thought I wanted to use this week's Freshly Made sketch, but didn't really want to cover too much of the background, so I experimented with that little ring/frame.  Other than the colors, it looked okay, so I cut another ring/frame on purpose, and this is what I came up with:
stamp set - Kindness Matters; ink - Early Espresso; reinkers - Pumpkin Pie (I didn't keep my Only Orange), Garden Green, Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist; card stock - Crumb Cake, Pumpkin Pie, Watercolor paper; punch - Dotted Scallop Ribbon border; Big Shot with Labels Collection and Bitty Banners Framelits™; Daffodil Delight 1/4" stitched grosgrain ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, Aqua Painter

Not bad, if you ignore that little torn/glue-smudged spot on the upper left ed ge ;\
