I made several cards recently with embossed trees, where I inked the folder before embossing the card stock. For some reason I didn't use this piece, and it was sitting on top of my box o' bits and bobs (it's too big to be in the box) and was ready to-hand when I saw "the wild woods" theme at 52{Christmas} Card Throwdown:
stamp set - Holly Jolly Greetings; ink - Real Red, Soft Sky; card stock - Real Red, Whisper White, Soft Sky; designer series paper - Home For Christmas; punch - Sweetheart; Big Shot with Christmas Greetings thinlits and Woodland embossing folder
I don't do a lot of fussy-cutting, but the designs in Home For Christmas seem to just cry out for that. I was more satisfied with my results than usual, so I was brave enough to go back for more!
The next card is a CASE of Carol Matthews' card here. I've seen several versions on Pinterest and on other stamping blogs (you probably have, too) but Carol's was the first one I saw. It took me a long time to decide I could cut that much. Now I'm not sure whether I can convince myself to mail it away or not, because unless you know which paper it was cut from, you can't really tell how much cutting it involves. ;)
stamp sets - Cozy Christmas, Festive Fireplace, Hardwood; ink - Crumb Cake, Mossy Meadow; Stampin' Write marker - Chocolate Chip; card stock - Real Red, Very Vanilla, Mossy Meadow, Crumb Cake; designer series paper - Home For Christmas; punch - Word Window; Big Shot with Hearth & Home framelits and Festive Fireside framelits
I started out thinking the wood wall would be red and the window frame would be taupe; since I changed my mind I now have a taupe die-cut window frame on top of my box o' bits and bobs. sigh It would fit inside, but then I would forget to use it...

Both cards are just super. Love the gorgeous trees and sweet deer - perfect take on the challenge. Thanks so much for playing along with 52CCT this week!
