stamp sets - Versatile Christmas, Wonderland; ink - Chocolate Chip, Real Red; card stock - Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake, Red Glimmer, Very Vanilla; Big Shot with Chalk Talk framelits and Woodlands textured impressions embossing folder; punches - 1/4" circle, 1/8" circle
I think of this as Rudolph's attempt at hiding in the woods. I took it to our shoebox swap this month as a kid's card and told Deb it was her fault <grin>. In spite of the antlers, this stamp set is pretty surely going to be one of my all-time favorites.
stamp sets - Cozy Christmas, Scentsational Christmas (retired); ink - Garden Green, Chocolate Chip, Real Red; Stampin' Write Marker - Chocolate Chip; card stock - Very Vanilla, Real Red; designer series paper - Home for Christmas; punches - 1-3/8" circle, Scalloped Tag Topper; baker's twine - Early Espresso (retired)
Well, I mostly used the sketch - I added the tag for the sentiment. Looking at it now it occurs to me that I could have stamped the sentiment (well, maybe a different one) repeatedly on the card stock as a sort of background and been more faithful to the sketch.
What a cute reindeer! Great card!
ReplyDeleteLove your cards. Your Jingle Belles themed card is so cute. A very nice take on the sketch. I really like all the red and green. Very festive. Thanks so much for joining us at Stick It Down.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are so cute. You did a great job with those antlers. Thanks for joining us this week at Merry Monday.

ReplyDeletesuper original, bravo, biz
ReplyDeleteoooooohh the tag reindeer (or reindeer tag?) is soooooooo CUTE!!! ♥ but i also love the "treats" card, especially since you've cleverly made those stamps work in the circle motif of the sketch, which is obviously BRILLIANT! (& ok yeah, it's also ♥perfect♥ for our JINGLE BELLES xmas feast!) ♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteYou know, sketches are really just a starting point, aren't they? :) Adding the tag gave it a nice balance.
ReplyDeleteI like the cute images you chose and the bright, traditional Christmas colors!
Thanks for using our sketch as inspiration for your card!

ReplyDeleteGreat work. Thanks for playing at SID.
ReplyDeleteI love both cards. I don't get the antler trend either, but you've made a great Rudolph, and the tag on the second one is a great addition. That's what sketches are for sometimes, just a starting point and you can add your own twist.
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing along at Stick It Down.
