sweet & simple adventure

Although I thought about this card longer than I did yesterday's card, this one was much quicker to make.  At the Merry Monday Christmas Card Club Lesley offered us a color challenge with a twist - red, aqua, white, and circles.  At Festive Friday the current colour challenge is red, white, and aqua! (I know I've mentioned before how amused I am when little things in my life converge like that).  At Tis' the Season I found a sweet, simple sketch, but the twist is all about the stripes.  The Season of Style designer series paper has this fabulous red & white striped paper - I knew it would look great with Pool Party - but I had to think about the circles:

stamp sets - Warmth & Wonder (hostess), Daydream Medallions; ink - Cherry Cobbler, Pool Party, Versamark; card stock - Pool Party, Whisper White; designer series paper - Season of Style; punches - 3/4" circle, Full Heart; Stampin' Dimensionals

Daydream Medallions in clear mount has circles of rubber that "punch out" from the centers of the medallions, and one of them has another medallion in its center - that's where I got the ring in the background.

Warmth & Wonder is getting a lot of play time on my crafting table - it seems to be a real "go to" set for me this season.  It can be yours free with any order (individual or workshop) of $150, but only until January 2 - don't miss your chance.  The two sentiments are my favorite but I also love the snowflake, the cardinal (which fits a punch!), the reindeer, and the 2-step tree with baubles - a versatile set, indeed!
