a pair of Christmas adventures

My stamp-a-stack Card Buffet for November will be all Christmas cards (although one could be birthday and another could be pretty much any winter greeting if you change one or two things) so I needed a few more ideas.  Of course there are always good ideas at Merry Monday, so I broke out my new Circle card Thinlits die, added this great Santa from Best of Christmas and put the whole thing together with the colors from Dynamic Duos:
stamp sets: Warmth & Wonder (hostess), Best of Christmas; ink - Real Red; card stock - Bermuda Bay, Real Red, Whisper White; punch - 2-1/2" circle; Big Shot with Stylish Stripes embossing folder and Circle Card thinlits
 
I really like it, but you can tell by the slightly crunchy-looking upper left corner that I had a little trouble getting the striped white pieces to fit correctly, so it probably won't be a Card Buffet choice.  This one, which uses a fabulous sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch, will be, though:
stamp set - Teeny Tiny Wishes; ink - Gumball Green; card stock - Champagne Glimmer; Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Whisper White; designer series paper - Season of Style; punch - Hexagon; Big Shot with Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder and Bitty Banners framelits; Stampin' Dimensionals

    I love the embossed stripes with this Santa in the "swing" card, Kathe! It is hard to get the layers to fit on the panels but you did a great job. Thanks for sharing this with us at Merry Monday!
