adventure with a sketch for any occasion

Frequently I have trouble falling asleep while visions of stamping challenges dance in my head. Recently, the swirling thoughts brought together CAS(E) this Sketch! #254 and my newest stamp set, which I think will be perfect for wedding/anniversary cards as well as Valentine's Day and the Watercooler Wednesday Occasions challenge:
stamp sets - Heart Happiness, Sunshine Sayings; ink - Rose Red; card stock - Rose Red, Whisper White regular and thick; Big Shot with Stitched Shapes and Sweet & Sassy framelits

My next thought was the We Three Kings challenge at Jingle Belles, and the colour challenge from 52 Christmas Card Throwdown, which also work well with the same sketch:
stamp sets - Santa's Sleigh, Colorful Seasons (on envelope); ink - Real Red; card stock - Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Real Red; designer series paper - Wood Textures; Big Shot with Pinewood Planks dynamic embossing folder, Seasonal Layers and Swirly Scribbles thinlits

Hi Kathe, so glad you managed to get those thoughts of cards created rather than just letting them swirl around in your head. Love that Valentine's Day card. I agree that you'll get lots of use from that new stamp set. Your colours and clean and simple layout really make the card stand out. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.

It's hard when our card tuned brains can't shut off and let us get some sleep, but when the racing thoughts come together on a design, it's usually so worthwhile. You've created such a lovely CAS Valentines Day card Kathe with your great layout. I love the cluster of hearts and the simple sentiment. Beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing at the Watercooler Wednesday All Occasions challenge this week.

I love your Christmas card, quite simple but perfectly formed. The wood grain on the red is lovely, and that circle die is great. Thank you for joining us at the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown.

I'm glad it's not just me who creates imaginary cards in her head at night. These are both so smart and stylish. Great use of those beautiful snowflake die cuts. Thanks for joining in at 52CCT.
