thankful adventures

I've been participating in a #100DaysOfGratitude challenge on Facebook; today was day 57 for me and I was thankful this morning for sunshine on snow:
Isn't that just awesome?  I'm thankful every day for my family and friends, and I plan to send cards to several of them this week to say so.  I needed one more this evening - I decided to put the Watercooler Wednesday color challenge to work with the Pals Paper Arts sketch:
stamp sets - Hardwood, Six Sayings Vintage Leaves (on envelope); ink - Blackberry Bliss, Versamark; card stock - Tip Top Taupe, Blackberry Bliss; designer series paper - In Color Stack (retired) Mossy Meadow, Tangelo Twist, Sweater Weather (retired); Big Shot with Leaflets framelits
I realized after I was done that I had the same idea as Lisa Ann Bernard, using the smallest leaf for the circle elements of the sketch. I didn't intend to CASE her card, but that little leaf seemed exactly right!

LOVE the card! So pretty. Is that an old or stock photo, or is that what Michigan looks like now? Did you have snow already? (I haven't been watching the weather.) We had friends who were trying to get us to move to Kalamazoo. When we mentioned we had a 36 inch snowfall one year, they acted like that was no big deal. We decided to stay in Virginia.

Hi Kathe, what a lovely CAS card. Love the beautiful "thankful" stamped over the Hardwood. Adding the three acorns cut from the DSP matching the colour challenge is a great idea. Lovely and simple. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.

I love sunshine on snow as well. Today is very dull, very grey, and it's snowing heavily. I'd rather have your sunshine.

Thanks, ladies! Buffy, the photo is my backyard the same day as the post - 11/22/15 - it snowed pretty much all day Saturday, then on Sunday it was beautiful - now it's just cold and I'm over it!

Great thankful card... the three leaves on top of the wood-grain background is the perfect touch for this season. Thanks for including the PPA in your stamping fun this week.
