adventure of not procrastinating

I did something nearly unheard of in my craft room - made a card for a challenge that just posted today!  Watercooler Challenges are now Watercooler Wednesday and challenges are open only until Monday - no time to procrastinate.  Well, ok, that's not true, I could wait until Sunday after dinner, but I like Kath's sketch and I really like it in the orientation Heidi used.  It helped me with the Stamp Ink Paper challenge #12 - black & white with a pop of color - that I'd been mulling over, and to pull it all together I've "put a bird on it" for Shopping Our Stash and made a  card for a friend, for SUO Challenges.  As a friendly hello, it qualifies at Pile It On as well:
stamp sets - Wetlands, World of Dreams; ink - Archival Basic Black, Pacific Point; Stampin' Write marker - Pacific Point; card stock - Pacific Point, Basic Black, Whisper White; designer series paper - Go Wild; ribbon - 5/8" organza

That's not too much blue to be a "pop" of color, is it?  Did you notice - no snowflakes anywhere?  And, I did make my sister a birthday card yesterday, but I can't really show you before she sees it, so perhaps you'll stop by another day.  By then, I'm sure to be back to my last-minute self, and probably making more Christmas cards, too.

Kathe, I love your adventure of not procrastinating. You've created a wonderful card along the way as well. Love that you've turned the sketch on its side. I did that as well and found it worked nicely that way. Your choice of colours works so beautifully with that image from World of Dreams (one of my favourite silhouettes). Thanks so much for joining our brand new challenge day and format.

You're a star, Kathe. The black perfectly accents the blue. The World of Dreams set is a favourite of mine. So happy you submitted your artistry.
