a postal Christmas adventure

I've wanted to use the Postcard stamp on a Christmas card for years, long before the stamp retired, and the Special Delivery/Postal theme at Jingle Belles (I think they've used that theme before, this time I paid attention) finally gave me the nudge I needed.  I added a bird for Holly Jolly Christmas, too:

stamp sets (all retired) - Berry Christmas, Christmas Punch, Postage Due, Postcard, Wishing You; ink - Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake,  card stock - Crumb Cake, Real Red, Very Vanilla; Big Shot with Merry Details Sizzlet (retired); baker's twine - Cherry Cobbler
If stamping weren't my happy place, I might have gone postal this evening trying to get this card completed - the post card image is the 7th one I stamped!  The 2nd one wasn't crooked but I stamped an image on the right and then decided the sentiment needed to go there.  After several crooked and/or smudged versions, I finally got the hint, and stamped it on a piece of paper larger than needed and trimmed it down.  Then I smudged this one, so the stack of gifts needed to be shifted left.  When the red gift got smudged as well, I just had to go with it.  sigh

ok, i'm sorry to hear this lovely card gave you fits, but somehow it's heartening to think that even a seasoned stamper such as yourself could come across the same sort of hijinks i seem to run into! :0 i meanwhile i must say that i would never have suspected ANY of those things happened, this is absolutely AWESOME in every single way!!! thanks for joining our "special delivery" fun at JINGLE BELLES! <3
