Earth Day adventure

Today is Earth Day ♥  I'm old enough to remember the first Earth Day, and much more recently, I remember the first Earth Day at Jingle Belles, where the cards feature re-cycled re-used, or up-cycled elements. Life in my house was very unsettled and chaotic the past several weeks and I mostly gave up card-making and web browsing for the duration; now that life is restored to nearly normal, I took a little time to find some bits that deserved another use:
stamp set - Joyous Christmas (retired); ink - Mossy Meadow; card stock - Whisper White, Mossy Meadow, Real Red; punch - Word Window
This one was cut from the front of a card we received, where it seemed minor next to a large sentiment section.  I think the picture is both serene and festive, with just the right amount of glitter, and I prefer it as a major focus.

card stock - Real Red
The image on this one was originally the side wall of a printed gift box.  I love the warm candle glow and the barely visible tree line outside the frosted windows.  I reused that gift box until it was fraying at the corners and I couldn't get the leftover tape off, then I cut off the least-worn pieces and saved them.  I haven't decided on a sentiment yet (I'm looking for just the right one) but the inside is finished and features three more of the candles I punched out of the extra length; I just couldn't bear to let any of them go to waste.

I think your second card is just fine without any sentiment on the front and your pretty and festive scene on the first card does deserve to get all the focus!

I'm loving both of them and so glad you recycled those lovely items into such beauties!
