another catalog CASE adventure

CASE-ing the Catty Challenge 8 is the card-giving section, pages 102-143 - so many great samples, how can it be only one week long?  My first favorite card can be seen on  page 130.  I changed some of the elements to make it easier to do in a card buffet stamp-a-stack setting, but it still has a lot going on:
stamp sets - By the Tide, Gorgeous Grunge; ink - Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake, Versamark; stampin' emboss powder - Pool Party; card stock - Naturals Vanilla, Pool Party; punch - hexagon; embellishments - Very Vintage designer button, Crumb Cake 1/2" seam binding ribbon, Retro Fresh washi tape

I know some people enjoy fussy cutting, but most of the ladies who will attend my Card Buffet don't, and either way it's more difficult when you're in company.  You know, sometimes we get to laughing or just are generally distracted, so instead of cutting the seahorse, I embossed it.  Then, I didn't have the new crochet or burlap trims, so I used what I have on hand.  Those changes dictated a somewhat different color scheme.  I did originally make it a Thinking of You card, but I need more birthday greetings, so that meant adding a banner :)

This is absolutely beautiful. Love your CASE. Thanks for playing along at CTC. PS: That seahorse is not easy to fussy cut so I think the embossing was a great idea.
