metallic adventure

Wow, I have been alternating wildly between crazy-busy and crazy-lazy this week.  I made these two cards Sunday, during my Christmas-card-making blitz, specifically for the Less is More colour challenge of a metallic element plus one other colour (they're British, I'm spelling it their way!).  I think they meant a metallic colour, but I had these ornaments punched from a soda can that needed home, so I went with a more literal interpretation:
stamp sets - Heard from the Heart (retired), More Merry Messages; ink - Versamark; stampin' emboss powder - Silver; card stock - Real Red, Whisper White, Gumball Green; punch - Christmas Ornament; Big Shot with Argyle and Adorning Accents embossing folders; silver 1/8" ribbon; Stampin' Dimensionals
Due to the craziness of my activity levels, I was at least three days behind reading the blogs I like to follow; imagine my surprise and delight when I found that I'd been named Shooting Star at 'Tis the Season!  It was such a great sketch, it turned into one of my favorite cards for this year.
