short & sweet adventure

After my long, drawn out adventure of making a file folder style card, I thought it would be fun to knock off a few challenges tonight with a more last-minute card.  The ladies at Christmas Card Challenges would like to see some dimension, Pile it On are looking for animals with character, House of Cards has offered a sweet color combination for the "cute & fun" style of the week.  All three of those challenges end tonight; the link-up for the intriguing sketch at The Pink Elephant doesn't close until tomorrow.  While I was thinking about what to use for the background panels, I remembered that the technique challenge at Just Us Girls is to use words to create a background.  Then while working on the focal scene, I realized I would need to mask the penguin and the bear in order to keep them in the foreground, and masking is the current challenge at Just Add Ink!  This is how they all came together:
stamp sets - More Merry Messages, Polar Party (retired); ink - Pistachio Pudding, Black Stazon; Stampin' Write markers - Basic Black, Crisp Cantaloupe, Garden Green, Pistachio Pudding, Tangerine Tango, Wild Wasabi, Versamark; card stock - Naturals White, Pistachio Pudding, Wild Wasabi; punch - 3/4: circle; 1/8" organza ribbon - Calypso Coral (retired); Crystal Effects, Stampin' Dimensionals
