more remake adventures

I've made a lot more cards recently than I've shared with you; some of them I just don't love after they're complete.  Just this week I've remade some of them.  Usually I literally take them apart and reuse the pieces.  This one, for example, is made from the same base piece as yesterday's card, and I reused the sentiment piece, as well.  I liked the card yesterday just fine until I saw this card (yes, on Pinterest - why do you ask?).  I liked my color combination (from ColourQ, remember) so I stuck with that, too:
stamp sets - Delightful Dozen, Mixed Medley (hostess); ink - Basic Black; card stock - Basic Black, Basic Gray, Naturals White, Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise; punches - 1-1/4" Scallop Circle, 1-3/4" Scallop Circle, Modern Label; Big Shot with Spider Web Textured Impressions™ embossing folder and Tasteful Trim Bigz XL die; Basic Black 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals
I like this one better, the elements seem more in balance with each other.

This card isn't really a remake, I was using a leftover kit from Stamp-a-Stack, and thought I'd try stepping up the original card:

stamp set - You're Amazing; Stampin' Write markers - Lucky Limeade, Not Quite Navy; card stock - Lucky Limeade, Naturals Ivory, Not Quite Navy, Very Vanilla; designer series paper - Festival of Prints; punch - 1/14" square; Big Shot with Apothecary Accents Framelits™ and Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions™ embossing folder; 1/8" mini brads, Stampin' Dimensionals

This card was a really minimal remake - all I did was remove the You're Amazing sentiment and replace it with the Happy Birthday sentiment from the same stamp set, because I send more Birthday cards than You're Amazing cards.  I cut it with the same framelit as the original and reused the brads.  I was CASE*ing this card which I still prefer to my version - the muted color combination in Shannon's card really appeals to me.
stamp set - You're Amazing; Stampin' Write markers - Real Red, Tangerine Tango; card stock - Daffodil Delight, Real Red; designer series paper - Summer Smooches; punch - 1/14" square; Big Shot with Amothecary Accents Framelits™ and Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions™ embossing folder; 3/16" Brights Brads, Stampin' Dimesionals
