pop-up adventure

I love pop-up cards, so when one of my customers asked for the supply list for the card on page 181 in the new annual catalog, including sizes, I was more than willing to figure it out for her.  Stampin/ Up!® publishes the supplies list and you can find a link on my website, but this customer doesn't have internet.  Also, the supplies list doesn't include sizes.  I used old, cheap card stock from my pre-Stampin' Up!® days and gave her the result so she'd have an example. The flimsy non-Stampin' Up!® card stock was a bit too thick to close well, so I knew it wouldn't work with Stampin' Up!® card stock.  I think it's intended to be a display piece rather than a card, but I thought it might work with designer series paper. I pulled out some deisgner series paper for my own version, thinking I could modify it to use with the Merry Monday sketch challenge this week.  The tree is too large for the scallop circle, but I had pop-ups on my mind and designer series paper on my desk after I had cut the scallop circle bit, so I did something a little different:

stamp sets - More Merry Messages, Polar Party; ink - Old Olive, Soft Suede, Daffodil Delight; Stampin' Write markers - Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight; card stock - Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz (retired); designer series paper - Pear Pizzazz (retired); Big Shot and Scallop Circles #2 Bigz die (retired); Dazzling Details silver and Cherry Cobbler, Crystal Effects, Stampin' sponge

I'm thinking that it needs gifts, or something, under the trees...I like it, though.  And, I'll be working on a designer series paper version of the original, too.
