another quick adventure

The colors - Burgundy, Gold, Plum - for this came from Play Date Cafe (somewhere I haven't played before) and their challenge closes soon, so I wanted to get this posted:
stamp sets - Language of Love, Bring on the Cake; ink - Cherry Cobbler, Elegant Eggplant, Soft Suede; card stock - Naturals White, River Rock, Cherry Cobbler, Elegant Eggplant; punch - Boho Blossoms; Big Shot with Elegant Lines embossing folder and Beautiful Wings sizzlit, Stampin' Dimensionals

Once again, I used a sketch.  This one came from Create with Connie & Mary:

My interpretation is pretty literal, although I seem to have left out a layer.  My first thought for the sketch was hearts, but I don't really send many valentine cards, so I decided to go another direction.  I've been wanting to do some florals in rich colors.  The new Twitterpated paper from the Occasions mini catalog is beautiful, but I've had just about enough pastels.

Now that I'm looking again at the inspiration picture from Play Date Cafe, I'm wondering why I didn't put this color scheme to work on a Christmas card...
